Two Little Monkeys

Today I'm linking up to Kelly's Korner for "Show us your life: Boy Moms". I love finding other moms of boys!
Growing up I had an older brother who is three years older than me. I was the baby and I loved being the baby, ha! My brother and I didn't always get along and we fought a lot. We get along now that we are grown up...and don't live under the same roof, haha! I always pictured myself having two boys and a girl. I've always loved little boys and think they are so sweet. I love girls too and would love to buy bows and sweet little dresses for a girl. Oh my, I could have so much fun with a girl! We would be broke but it would be fun! I wanted two boys first so they would be protective and take care of their baby sister.
When I got pregnant with my first born Ryan, we didn't find out if we were having a boy or girl. We wanted to be surprised when he was born. Well we were definitely surprised! Of course I prepared myself for either boy or girl. I never had a feeling one way or the other.

After I got used to the idea of having a boy I was so excited to be raising a little boy. Boys love their mommas, are always busy and full of energy. Ryan was the sweetest and happiest baby. Besides dealing with some reflux and major spit up he was the best baby. He is still a sweet and happy toddler. He is very busy and doesn't sit still for long but he is the sweetest thing. He loves playing outside, loves tickle time with daddy and loves to read his books before bed.
When I got pregnant with our 2nd born I was hoping for a girl but totally ok if it was a boy. I loved the idea of having a boy and giving Ryan a little brother. A brother that would be a best bud for life. Before our 20 week ultrasound I was completely convinced that Colton was a girl. I was having all kinds of dreams it was a girl and just had a gut feeling it was a girl. When the ultrasound tech said "looks like a boy" I vividly remember saying "what???? are you sure? are you really, really sure". And then she showed us he was definitely all boy!

Now I cannot imagine having a girl. I love that they already share clothes. They are 2 years and 12 days apart so Colton wears almost all of Ryan's hand me downs. I love they will share the same toys and love of Mickey Mouse and Cars movie.
Colton is the sweetest baby! He is so easy going and just a joy. He seriously has the sweetest smile. He is the cutest baby ever! I think he is going to be pretty laid back which is just what I need after having a busy first born.
I absolutely love having two boys and would be totally content having a 3rd boy. Matt and I are both hoping for a girl next time but I honestly wouldn't mind another boy. I feel like I know what to do and what to expect with boys. I never imagined being a boy mom but I'm so glad God is all knowing and blessed me with these special and sweet boys!
