Annabelle turns 3

Annabelle turned 3 years old on Sunday, March 23rd!  I can't believe she has been in our lives for 3 years!  I can't imagine life without her!  These are pics from her mini celebration!  She loves cupcakes, but no worries, I didn't let her eat the whole thing!
This is my favorite pic of Annabelle!

Gracie had to have a little cupcake too!
These 4 legged kids are so spoiled but we love them!

Washington D.C.

Last Wednesday and Thursday I had the privilege to travel to Washington D.C. for work.  The organization I work for, Pathway Family Center, was invited to participate in a National Press Conference for the National Inhalant Awareness Coalition.  We took one of our clients who was able to share his story of experimenting with inhalants.  While I was there I got to do a little sight seeing to that was nice as well!  I am still in the process of getting the pictures off my camera so I will post them soon!  I got home Thursday night at midnight and I was exhausted!  It was a great trip but very exhausting!

I am excited it's a four day work week, woohoo!  And, my family is coming to visit us this weekend!  They will be traveling to Cincinnati tomorrow and will be here until Monday morning.  I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with them and enjoying the Easter holiday!  I will try and take some pics from the weekend!

Blizzard 2008

Yes, it's true, we have been under a BLIZZARD warning since yesterday!  Isn't that crazy!  Here are some pics from the Blizzard of 2008!  We got a total of 15 inches of snow!  It finally stopped snowing around 2 p.m. on Saturday!  As you can see, Annabelle and Gracie are almost buried in the snow!  They haven't ventured off the deck yet...probably scared they will get lost in the white death!  This is definitely the most snow I've ever seen, definitely never been in a blizzard before!  It's so crazy how much everything is just covered!  Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to get out a little!

Check out all the snow on the grill.
Matt with snow almost up to his knees.

Snow Day...in March?

Well it's another snow day here in Cincinnati!   I had a work presentation early this morning in Dayton (40 miles north of Cincy)  My meeting was at 9am and it was already snowing but nothing was sticking...yet!  By the time I came out of my meeting at 10 the snow was sticking and I could tell it was starting to get slick!  As I was maneuvering my car to get on the interstate I slide a little and thought "this is going to be a long drive home".  It was a pretty stressful 2 hour drive home as I didn't reach over 40 mph the entire time!  It's just plain yucky out there!  I saw numerous cars on the side of the road that had spun out and lost control.  I was glad to finally make it home, all in one piece!  I'm a southern girl...I don't do snow very well!

Matt got lucky today...he arrived early to work this morning only to find a dark and quiet building!  The power was out in his building and would not be restored for 4 hours.  He called me on my way to Dayton and said he was heading back to work from home!

We have gotten at least 3-4 inches of snow already and they are predicting we could get a foot by tomorrow morning!  WOW  I don't think I've ever seen that much snow in my life!  I thought, finally, March is here and I'm ready for spring....buuut not just yet!  I will take some pics today or tomorrow and post for all to see!
