Colton's 4th Birthday

We traveled to Memphis this year to celebrate Colton's 4th birthday!

The birthday boy chose chocolate chip pancakes at IHOP for his birthday breakfast!  We all went including Uncle Matt who met us for breakfast.

Who doesn't love chocolate chip pancakes?

The boys opening their birthday gifts from Nana and Grandad.  Ryan got a new leap pad tablet.

Singing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy!

FOUR

We took the boys downtown to Rendezvous for a birthday dinner.  My brother came with us while my mom and dad kept Sydney.

We LOVE Rendezvous.  Plus it's special to Matt and I because we went there on our first date.

My favorite six year old!

We had a surprise for the boys - we took them to a Redbirds game after Rendezvous.

They were pretty excited to go to the first Redbirds baseball game.

My favorite three boys!

Of course the birthday boy had to have ice cream.

Meeting Rocky the Redbird.

It was a great day and I'm so glad we got to spend time in Memphis with family for Colton's birthday.  Happy Birthday big C, we love you and look forward to a wonderful year!

Happy 4th Birthday Colton

Happy Birthday Colton!!!

You are FOUR years old today!

I can hardly believe what a BIG boy you have become this year!

You are becoming such a sweet big brother.   You love your baby sister Sydney.  She is definitely growing on you.  You will get so excited to see her and talk to her.   We do, however, have to remind you sometimes to be gentle and careful around her.

You are so funny and have a big personality!  You keep us laughing all the time.  You love life and play with full force.  You constantly run and jump and laugh constantly.  You can have a little attitude and you let us know when you like or don't like something.

You moved to a big boy bed around Christmas and you did great!  You love your bed and stay in there without any problems at night and in the morning.

You had your first year of preschool and you did great!  You love school, especially your teachers!  You can wait to be in the 4's class in a few months!

You love snack foods and could graze on food all day long.  You LOVE fruit and chips but it's hard to get you to eat meat.  We know you aren't the best eater but you'll come around some day!   You love playing outside and riding bikes and playing cars with Ryan.

We are so thankful for your sweet spirit and tender heart.  You are the most fun person in our family and I know you will have that trait forever.

I'm excited to see what God does in your little life over the next year.   He has big plans for you.  We are so thankful for you and can't wait to watch how He guides your path!

3 Months

Sydney - You are THREE months old!!!

I cannot believe you are three months old already!  Time needs to slow down!

You weigh 13 pounds and    inches long.  You wear size 3 month clothes and starting to wear some 3-6 month outfits.  You wear size 1 diapers during the day and size 2 at night.

You eat a bottle every three hours during the day beginning around 7am.  You take five 5 oz bottles during the day.  We dropped your dream feed soon after you turned three months old.  You are sleeping through the night and we are SO glad.  You are still sleeping in the bassinet in our room.  Sometimes you wake around 3-4am but you are learning to self sooth and put yourself back to sleep.  We are SO glad you are good sleeper.

You are so sweet and love to look at mommy and smile and shrug your shoulders.  It's really the sweetest thing.  You are especially smiley in the morning after your first bottle.  You are really an easy baby.  You hardly cry and only fuss when you are hungry or tired and even when your tired you fall asleep easily.

You are so content and love to watch your big brothers.  They love to make your smile and love talking and interacting with you.

I LOVE seeing your beautiful smile!  You love to play patty cake!  You smile so big.

You looks a lot like Colton did as a baby.  You have lots of brown hair and big brown eyes.

You have been going to the nursery at the Y for the last few weeks and have done great.

It's hard to believe you are already three months old.  It's hard to remember what life was like before you were born.  You are such a sweet joy and we are SO SO blessed to have you in our family!  I can't imagine life without you.  Your sweet smile just lights up my world.

You are starting to show more personality all the time.  A lot of people say you look like me.  I can't wait to see what you will look like at 6, 9 and 12 months but time needs to slow down.

Boys' Birthday Extravaganza

We celebrated the boys' birthdays on Saturday, June 20 at Let It Shine Gymnastics in Franklin.  We invited all their preschool friends and they were so excited to run, jump and be wild boys on the day of their party.

The boys love, love LOVE Legos these days so we decided on a Lego theme this year!

We had fruit, CFA chicken nuggets, pretzels, juice boxes and of course cupcakes!

Ryan turning SIX and Colton turning FOUR!

I made Lego cookies for party favors.  I paired the cookies with little Lego kits for the kids to take home.

Ryan and one of his good friends Nikel.

Ryan and his sweet friend Anna.

Britain and Bryce - two of Ryan's good friends from school.

The boys had a blast playing with their friends.

Ryan showing off his moves.

Ryan had the best time on the bungee.  He was fine as long as his feet would hit the floor.  The two coaches were so funny and did a slap stick routine.  The kids loved it and it was pretty hilarious.  They had the best time.

Singing Happy Birthday!

 Thirsty...we need juice!!!

It was a great and fun party and we are so thankful for all of Ryan and Colton's friends that came out to celebrate.
