Naples, FL

Matt and I were here last week...Naples, FL!  It was gorgeous and the most beautiful place!  I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the overload of pictures.

First off we were SO thankful to my wonderful parents and brother for watching the boys while we could get away.  It seriously meant the world that they would take time away from their lives to come  and watch our kiddos.  Love you, thank you, love you!!

Matt graduated on Friday and we flew out bright and early Saturday morning!  Oh yeah!  We arrived in Ft. Myers around 10AM and couldn't wait to walk outside and feel the heat and see the palm trees. It really made me reconsider Nashville and just move to Florida!

We made our way to our hotel at the BEACH!!!  We stayed at LaPlaya Beach Resort and it was AMAZING!!!!  Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place.  It was gorgeous and the service was impeccable.

Once we arrived we decided to grab lunch at the hotel restaurant.  This was our view for lunch!  Gorgeous!!!  I couldn't wait to put my feet in the sand.

After lunch our hotel room was ready so we headed up to rest and freshen up.

Our room was beautiful!  It was roomy and SO nice!  It was really perfect!

Every morning we would order breakfast and eat it outside on our terrace.  It doesn't get much better than that.

This was our view from the terrace.  Gorgeous view of the bay.  We loved watching the sun come up and the boats go by.

So pretty much our days consisted of relaxing and hanging out at the beach or pool and eating great food.  We would eat breakfast then head to the beach.

This was my view every day.  The beach was gorgeous and the water was warm.  I'm don't really like to swim in the ocean, it makes me nervous not knowing what is around you but I LOVE to sit and look at it.

I loved walking on the beach and people watching.  I found seashells to bring back to the boys.

This was the way I like to spend my vacation...the beach, a good book and a margarita (brought to me by a beach butler, yes please).

We ate at The Turtle Club which was down the street from our resort.  It had a perfect setting for a sunset on the beach.  Beautiful!!!  Plus our meal was so good, we ate every bite!

We loved hanging out at the pool at the resort.  They also had servers coming around taking food and drink orders.  It was heaven on earth!!  I want to move in to the resort.  I almost didn't come home!

Sunday night we went downtown Naples.  It is the cutest and most fun area.  Tons of little shops and boutiques and restaurants all along the strip.

We found this yummy Italian Restaurant.  Again, we ate everything on our plate then enjoyed some dessert.  Matt got Tiramisu, his favorite, at the restaurant.

After dinner we strolled down the street and found this adorable ice cream shop.  We loved sitting and just watching people (and cars - Matt's favorite thing).

Oh and did I mention that we rented a mustang convertible.  Matt let me drive it to the airport.  It was so cool and more fun than I thought it would be.  I think I look good in a convertible.

It was seriously the most most amazing vacation and exceeded our expectations!  We talked about taking the boys there but we decided it would be a couples retreat for us.  There were a few families there but not many.  It's just the perfect destination for couples.  I asked Matt if we can get a discount if we book our next trip now.  We will definitely be back.
