We headed to the lake this past weekend for some fun in the sun. We got there on Friday evening. The boys did awesome in the car and I didn't even have to turn on the dvd player til an hour and a half into the drive.
As soon as we got there and ate a bit of dinner we headed out on the lake for an after dinner cruise. It was beautiful and so calm.
We all slept great and woke up Saturday to the bright beautiful sun. We couldn't wait to get out on the boat.
Ryan absolutely loves boating. He is so funny and just smiles the whole time. He was Uncle Steve's co captain for the day. His favorite part was riding on Uncle Steve's knee and honking the horn. He was laughing and giggling so hard. Uncle Steve even let him "drive" the boat.
Playing a little Candyland with Aunt Teresa and Kristy. This has become Ryan's favorite game. He loves it.
Ryan loved playing on the dock while Colton took a nap. He played on the ladder (which extends out into the water) with his life jacket on. He had the best time playing with a rope, a cup and watering can. And yes Mom, I was right beside the whole time, promise!
Saturday night they did fireworks on the lake. We decided to let the boys stay up late to go. After dinner we went to get ice cream then head over to the fireworks. The boys did really good considering we had to wait on the boat over an hour for the fireworks to start. It was an awesome show and the boys loved it. They both fell asleep on the way back to the house. They were zonked and wiped out.
This little cheese ball came over for some Doritos. He could seriously graze on food all day long! He cracks me up. As soon as someone pulls out some food and starts snacking, he is right there.
It was a great weekend and we all had a blast. We left after lunch on Sunday and the boys were both asleep in the car within 30 minutes. They both took a great nap and did well the rest of the way home.
