21 Months

Ryan - You are 21 months old!!!!

What have you been up to this month???

You weigh 26lbs and wear size 18-24 or 24 month clothes, size 4 diapers and size 6 shoe.

Every time I look at you I see a growing and sweet little boy. You are growing up so much right before our eyes.

You are very strong willed and most days my struggles come from our battle of wills. You understand what 'going in time out' means and it's amazing how you straighten up and stop fussing when we put you in time out.

(Giving monkey a kiss)

You are so busy and don't sit still very long. You love to carry things around in your hands and almost always have something in hand when we go upstairs or get in the car. You love anything with a lid or top. You love to take it off and on.

You LOVE to give hugs and kisses!!! Just this month you started giving us kisses and we can't get enough of them. You love when we have a group family hug. You love everyone and love to wave hi and say bye bye. I'm so glad you are not shy and very adaptable.

(sharing your cookie with monkey)

You are so funny and love to laugh. You giggle so hard when daddy has a tickle fest with you. You don't want him to stop. Sometimes you give us this mischievous grin and are thinking of something funny to do.

You are eating a little better. This month you decided you like macaroni and cheese and pizza. What kid seriously doesn't like mac n cheese and pizza, ha? You were sick toward the end of February so you were not eating well at all. I'm so glad you are back to eating much better. Still working on getting those veggies in.

(singing the wheels on the buss)

Your favorite songs to sing are Wheels on the buss, Jesus Loves Me, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes and the ABC song. You love when I sing to you!

Your vocabulary is still a work in progress. You now say bye bye all the time and probably say around 10 words total. You love to show me how are lion roars. It's hilarious and I must get it on video soon.

We have started saying prayers with you at night before bed. If we forget you remind us by putting your little hands together. Your listen intently as we say our prayers and sometimes you try to repeat what we say.

I LOVE to watch you grow and change and wonder what about the boy and man you will become. I am SO proud to be your mother! You bring me so much joy! I love you so much and cannot believe you will be TWO in just 3 months.

Hello-

I was wondering if you accept guest posts? I have an article/event that I would like to submit in regards to childhood obesity. It is about dancing and how it can be a fun way for kids to exercise. Primrose Schools is hosting a Dance Off competition (with proceeds going the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals) for families and I think it is something you and your readers would enjoy!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,
Emily Patterson
