Fall Break in Memphis

Matt had two days of fall break the beginning of this week so we headed to Memphis to visit my family over the weekend!  We had a great time visiting with my parents and Uncle Matt.  We arrived late Friday night and headed home to Cincy Tuesday morning.

Saturday we chilled in our pajamas most of the day.  It was cloudy and rainy so perfect for staying inside.

We decided to head downtown for dinner Saturday night.  We loved eating at The Flying Fish! They had some great catfish and delicious hushpuppies!  We will definitely have to go back.

After dinner we decided to take the boys on a trolley ride.  They LOVED it and thought it was the coolest.  It was pretty neat to see downtown Memphis that way.  Ryan was obsessed with the Memphis bridge.

Monday we went to a local pumpkin patch.  The boys had the BEST time playing and running.  The weather was perfect!  One of my favorite things to do in the fall is visit pumpkin patches so it was fun to visit a different one.

Colton did not want to sit still for pictures but I did get this great one of my favorite four year old!

The boys helped pick out some pumpkins!

Ryan was excited to ride the train!

We all rode the hayride out to the pumpkin patch!

Bless him!  Colton kept saying "pumpkin, pumpkin" and picking up every pumpkin he could bringing it to me.  He was so cute I could hardly stand it!

Monday Matt and I snuck away for a little quiet lunch! We went to El Porton since Matt LOVES mexican and he's never been to El Porton.  It was great and did not disappoint.

We left Memphis Tuesday morning.  The boys were perfect the three hours to Nashville.  We stopped to have lunch and potty break in Nashville.  Colton started getting fussy around 3pm.  He fussed for awhile before finally falling asleep but only for about 20 min.  He fussed and cried the remainder two our drive home, fun times!  Ryan fell asleep literally five minutes before pulling in the driveway!  Thankfully he was not fussy and perfect the whole drive.

We were exhausted and all slept well last night!  It was a great trip full of many great memories.
