What a great weekend

We had a great weekend!  Friday I decided to go ahead and order our glider from the same place we ordered the baby furniture!  We decided to go with the Best Chairs brand, swivel-arm-chair-glider!  I think we will be really happy with the final decision!  Unfortunately, the store called on Saturday to tell us our furniture was in but we are gonna wait on delivery and see if the glider comes in within the next few weeks so it can all be delivered at the same time!  I'm dying to see our furniture, I can't wait!!!

On Saturday it was absolutely beautiful here!  It was around 75 so we decided to pack up the girls (Annabelle and Gracie) and head to sharon woods park!  It's definitely our favorite park with a 3 mile wooded trail and pond!  They girls had a great time getting out!  I was a little worried they wouldn't make it all the way around since it's been a long time since we had been on such a hike but they did great!  I will say though... they were totally zonked out the rest of the afternoon!  We grabbed some lunch after the park and just enjoyed the beautiful spring day!  I wish every day could be like that!  

Today, we went to church then came home to relax a little bit before heading to our friends' Jim and Sally's for dinner!  We grilled out and it was yummy!  Great fellowship with good friends!  We, of course, watched the Amazing Race after dinner!  It was fun to watch the race with fellow AR fans!  It's all of our favorite show, except for Matt!

All in all it was a great weekend!  I'm so ready for spring and glad it's almost within our midst!  I love this time of year!  Isn't it the best?  Thankfully my allergies haven't caught on that it's springtime...yet!

Pass!

Today I had my 24 week check-up with my doc!  I am excited to report that I passed my glucose test!  WOOHOO!  I was a little worried about this test b/c I LOVE LOVE LOVE sugar and sweets!  Diabetes runs in my family so I had been praying that I didn't have gestational diabetes!  Thank you Lord for answering my prayer!  

While at the dr. they listened for the heartbeat!  Still going strong at about 147 bpm!  And they measured my uterus to see how the baby is growing!  I measured 28 weeks!  Wow!!!  I was not expecting that!  I'm only 24.5 weeks right now!  She didn't say if that means I'm farther along than we thought or if the baby is measuring big!  She said it's nothing to worry about and i'm within the 4 week normal range!  I would have no problems if this baby came early, just not too early!  I know the baby will come when he/she is good and ready!  

Thanks for all the advice on the glider!  It's been very helpful to read all your comments!  I've pretty much decided that we are gonna purchase the swivel arm chair!  I'm hoping that we can order it in the next week or so!  

24 weeks

Tomorrow I will be 24 weeks!  Hard to believe this little baby will be here in less than 16 weeks!  WOW!  This pic was taken at 22 weeks!  Hopefully we will get an updated pic this weekend!  

We are still in the process of deciding on a glider for the nursery!  Basically we are looking at these 2 gliders!  The first one pictured is a rocker and swivel chair!  This is NOT the color we like, it will be a cream color!  The chair also comes with a ottoman!  What I like about this chair is that it looks like a typical arm chair that you would put in a study or family room!  I feel confident that we would use this chair in another room of the house later on!

This is the typical traditional glider!  I like this glider a alot!  This chair is super comfy and looks very nice!  It also has a ottoman that comes with it!  Gliders are super expensive and it's hard for me to stomach spending so much money on a chair that I might not use in another room of the house later on!  

I would love to hear any advice from you other mother's out there!   

Babies, Valentine's and Races

This weekend we ventured to Babies "R" Us to register for baby stuff!  It was super crowded and LOTS of pregnant ladies "waddling" around!  We were there for over 3 hours!  I must confess we stood in front of the diaper pails for at least 10 minutes discussing which pail would be odor resistant and cost effective!  So many choices to make!  I loved looking at all the baby stuff and can't wait til my shower!  

Saturday night we celebrated our last Valentine's Day as just the two of us at J.Alexander's!  Both Matt and I had been there before but never together!  It was super delicious and me and the baby enjoyed it!  It was nice to have a romantic night just the two of us!

Is anyone else excited about the start of another season of THE AMAZING RACE?  This is my favorite reality show and the one I would most want to go on!  Matt and I decided we couldn't do it b/c we are both scared of heights! haha too bad!  I am excited about this season and can't wait to follow the contestants around the world!

Baby furniture

This weekend we ordered our baby furniture!  Yay!!!  I am sooo excited about the furniture and can't wait for it to come in!  We decided on the Young America 4 seasons built to grow crib and dresser with changing station!  It should take about 6 weeks for it all to come in!  The crib converts to a full size bed!  We plan on this baby using this furniture for a loooong time!  

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound!  The baby was moving all around and very active! I wish we could have an ultrasound every day!  It's just truly amazing and unbelievable to see your baby moving around on the screen!  Truly a miracle from God!  They took many measurements of the baby and looked at different organs!  Our doc said our baby looks perfect and healthy!  We were so glad to hear that everything looks great and developing well!

20 Weeks

I can't believe I'm actually posting this pic! This one is for you Mom! I know you wish you could be here and watch me grow! We are attempting to take a weekly pic from here on out until this baby arrives! I turned 20 weeks yesterday! I feel like I just look like I'm gaining weight not getting a cute baby bump but oh well!

We have our 20 week ultrasound on Monday and I'm soooooo excited and can't wait to see this baby that is moving all around and poking and kicking me! It's so amazing feeling those movements and I anxiously await the next "kick"!
