It's no secret that I love to bake sweet treats. In fact today I've been busy making shamrock cookies to take to MOPS tomorrow and I have an order of 40 cookies to make for a party this weekend.
I made these super delicious Peanut Butter Blossoms for our small group on Friday night. I found the recipe on my favorite cookie blog: Bakeat350.blogspot.com
Peanut Butter Blossoms
Ingredients:1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/3 c. sugar (plus more for rolling)
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp coarse salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 & 1/2 c. unbleached, all-purpose flour
Hershey's Kisses (7 ounces)
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 375.
Using the paddle attachment, beat the butter and peanut butter until blended. Add both sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Add in the egg through vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined. Add in the flour in 3 additions. Scrape the bottom and side of bowl as needed.

Place extra granulated sugar on a plate. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the sugar.
Place coated dough balls on the parchment-lined sheets. Bake cookies until the are a very light golden color, about 10 minutes. (Meanwhile, unwrap the kisses.)
Remove the cookies from the oven and it's go time! Immediately place a kiss on top of each hot cookie, pressing down slightly.
Transfer cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Today is a crummy rainy day so we ran by Chick-fil-A drive through to pick up some lunch and I HAD to try their new treat! Banana Pudding is probably my most favorite dessert! Everyone on Twitter has been talking about it! Oh my word, I found heaven on earth!!!! It was amazing!!! I'm not much of a milkshake fan but this was unbelievable! It's SO good and yummy! My favorite part if the vanilla wafer crumbles in it!
Since Ryan ate a very good lunch today I let him have the last part of the milkshake. This boy is one picky eater but he sure LOVES any and all sweet treats, Ha! Anytime I make cookies he always wants one. He absolutely loved the milkshake and was quit upset when it was all gone.
Speaking of cookies here are my latest creations. They were for my friend Zahra who was hosting a bridal shower.
I have to add that I'm watching DC Cupcakes right now and really wanting to make some cupcakes and get creative. I think it would be amazing to own my own bakery one day! Maybe it will be God's plan down the road!
Hope you had a sweet day!
