We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday July 8. It's hard to believe that it's been six years since we walked down the aisle and promised to love each other forever before God, our family and friends.
Marriage is work and you choose daily to love the person you married. Marriage is a lot of compromise and sacrifice. It's awesome though to have someone who loves you unconditionally and supports you in all you do. It's nice to have someone by your side to go through the good AND the bad.
My Dad asked me on Sunday if it felt like our anniversary. I said "no, it's hard to believe we were getting married six years ago today". I said "I wish we were heading to Hawaii for a week like we were six years ago". Hahaha! I can dream right! Maybe we will make it back there for our 10 year anniversary!
My parents were sweet enough to watch the boys and put them to bed sunday night so we could have a date night. Matt surprised me by taking me to a quiet little new restaurant called Tony's. We had never been and I was a little unsure when we pulled up and there were only five cars in the parking lot.
It turned out SO good! I had steak, mashed potatoes and we shared five cheese mac n cheese. It was seriously some of the best steak i've ever had.
Thanks mom and dad for watching the boys so we could spend some quality time together!
And today we went to the gym to go to the pool but when we got there the outdoor pool was closed! Boo! I was not happy but we made the most of it and swam in the indoor pool. Ryan had a blast and Colton played for a long time on the side of the pool with his toys.
So thankful these boys love the water! Hopefully we can get some rays this week!

I think we are doing Hawaii, too. :) Though we have both decided we will be gone for 2 weeks. Happy belated anniversary!
