Today we had Colton's first birthday party at our house. We had planned to have it mostly outside with a bouncy house, a tent with table and chairs and the sprinkler for the kids to play in. Forecastors were predicting the hottest day of the year so we decided against sending out guests outside and opted to send the kids to the basement to play.
We did a jungle safari animal theme. It was full of monkeys, giraffes, elephants and zebras. I loved the theme and thought everything turned out so cute.
We had gorilla grapes, cheetah cheese and crackers, hungry hippo dip, baboon butter, zebra cakes and mini banana pudding. The banana pudding was definitely the big hit.
Colton's birthday cake! It turned out really cute. I bought the monkey, lion and hippo on etsy. They were super cute and SO detailed! Totally impressed.
I loved this little monkey on the top of the cake.
Of course we had cookies at the party!

The birthday boy waiting on his cake!
Colton wouldn't take an afternoon nap. He took a morning nap but refused to go down this afternoon. He just started having separation anxiety this week so he only wanted momma today. He did get lots of love from his family and friends today.
Singing happy birthday to the birthday boy.
Colton LOVED his cake. It didn't take him long to dive right in.
Yummy!
Ryan kept asking "where's my birthday cake".
Messy boy!!!
It was such a fun birthday party! So happy to celebrate Colton's first birthday with all our friends and family.
