Saturday morning we headed to Loveland's biggest Easter Egg Hunt! There were tons of people! My parents were sweet enough to stay home and watch Colton since it was during his nap.
Soon after we got there we ran into a few of our friends. The kids played in the bouncy house things until it was time for eggs.
They even had a helicopter egg drop!
It was their first year for the egg hunt and they didn't expect such a big crowd. They had lots of people and not enough eggs. Poor Ryan only ended up with four eggs. He had fun and didn't really care. Hopefully next year they will be more prepared.
Our local fire department was there letting the kids play on the firetruck! Ryan was a little unsure of the truck at first but warmed up to it. They had deflated the bouncy houses and Ryan was sad because he wanted to play.
Aunt Erin came over later that afternoon to color Easter eggs with Ryan. This was Ryan's first year to color eggs. I saw on pinterest a way to color eggs with kool aid. It was super easy and smelt so much better than the traditional vinegar and dye pills.
My OCD-ness didn't think he was ready until this year! He did well for the most part but he didn't really understand the fragileness of the eggs. It was fun and I'm glad he got to do it!
Such a fun Easter weekend making new memories!
