Colton's Birthday Weekend

Friday, June 27th, we celebrated Colton turning 3 years old!

Every time we said "birthday" Colton would say "train birthday, train birthday".  He totally thinks his birthday was last Saturday at his train birthday party.

I decided to take the boys to a Touch-A-Truck event.  They LOVE trucks and I knew they would have a blast.  Matt has his second CPA exam on Tuesday so he was studying all day.

Ryan sitting in the firetruck!
Their favorite things were the firetrucks, the helicopter and school bus.

They loved watching the helicopter land.

Ryan and our friend Rachel on the school bus.  All too soon these kiddos will be on a real school bus heading to school.

Friday night we took the boys to get pizza and celebrate Colton's birthday.  Pizza was Colton's choice.  We had planned to get ice cream afterward but Colton wouldn't eat his pizza and kept disobeying by turning around to watch the ducks in the pond outside.  We will do cupcakes or ice cream at another date.

Train Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated the boys birthday's at EnterTRAINment Junction.  They were SO excited about their train birthday.  That's pretty much all they have talked about for the last six months.

EnterTRAINment Junction is this really cool train museum with a great play area for kids, train rides outside, a fun house and more.  It was the perfect place for the boys train birthday party.

Happy 5th Birthday Ryan and 3rd Birthday Colton!

Train whistles and cookies as favors

No party is complete without cake!

The party room!

The party guests consisted of the boys friends from preschool and neighbors.

Colton always charming with the Kraft girls.  I'm not sure who is more crazy about each other.

These two, oh my!  They are the cutest things!  Sweet little Jillian is the 3rd born baby who is so sassy and a little wild and Ryan is your typical first born rule follower that will keep that Jillian in line.  Match made in heaven. ;)

The birthday boys blowing out their candles!

Someone loved his chocolate cupcake!

These two again...holding hands!  I can hardly stand it.

Ryan loved these trains with the hand crank.  It was fun!

Colton couldn't quit do the hand crank for the guy push Colton around the track.

Ryan and his best friend Brett

It's the Chick-fil-A gang!!!  I love these kiddos so much.  They are so fun and love playing together.  They always have the best time together!  I think they rode this train about four times.

The boys had the best time at their birthday party.  On Colton's actual birthday this past friday anytime we would say 'birthday' he would say "train birthday".  He was a little disappointed the birthday party we went to on Saturday for Nicholas and Emelynn was not a train birthday.

I can hardly believe they are FIVE and THREE and getting cuter and more fun every day.  Happy birthday sweet boys!  We love you so much!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband Matt.  He is such an amazing dad and we are so lucky and blessed to have him.   Matt is an incredible dad and husband.  He is such a great role model for our boys and they already look up to him so much.

The boys were excited to give daddy their cards and gifts on Sunday morning.

So sweet!  We love you daddy!  And as Ryan says "We love you so much and more than anything else in the world"!

Happy 5th Birthday, Ryan!

Ryan turned FIVE years old on Sunday, June 15.  We decided to celebrate by taking the boys to the Columbus Zoo.

Ryan told me last week he wanted to help me make his birthday cake so on Saturday he helped me out in the kitchen.

I'm pretty sure his favorite part was licking the beater.

We all got cleaned up and took Ryan out to dinner to celebrate his birthday.  He chose Chuy's, yum yum!

Colton loved celebrating too.

Instead of ice cream this kiddo wanted a cupcake so after dinner we headed over to Gigi's for a birthday cupcake.

The boys split a chocolate cupcake, their favorite.

On Sunday, at 6:36AM our sweet Ryan Samuel turned FIVE years old.  It's hard to believe he is five and been in our lives for five years now.  Some days it seems like yesterday we had just brought him home from the hospital and other days it's hard to remember life before him.

We started out our morning with birthday doughnuts, always a favorite!

After donuts we loaded up and headed to Columbus to the zoo.  The boys were super excited to go to the zoo.

The boys couldn't wait to see some animals.

Our first stop were the flamingo's Ryan had been saying in the car he couldn't wait to see flamingo's, gorillas and giraffes.

It was also a special day because it was Father's day!  Ryan and Colton adore their daddy.  We are so thankful for him and all he does for our family.

We went in the reptile house and Ryan got to pet a snake, YUCK!!!!!

Cannot believe how big this boy is getting.

My favorite animal to see at the zoo!  Love these beautiful creatures!  They are gorgeous.

The highlight of the day was the train ride.

They couldn't wait to ride the train.  It was worth the wait and they LOVED it.  They are still talking about it.

And this was the ride home.  These boys were plum tuckered out.  We walked a ton and it was hot.  They slept most of the hour and a half drive home.

We got home in the afternoon and rested and a little before heading to Papau and Yaiya's for dinner and birthday cake.  It was a fantastic day celebrating our big boy!
